From Ghana, built for Ghana

We started HSB because we saw how much money Ghanaian families were losing every time they sent or received money across borders. We knew there was a better way — and we built it.

What We Believe

"Every Ghanaian deserves access to a safe, stable dollar — without paying a fortune to get it."

Ghana moves billions of dollars every year. Families receive money from relatives abroad. Traders settle deals across borders. Businesses pay suppliers in other countries. But most of that money passes through systems that are slow, expensive, and were not designed for Ghana.

HSB changes that. We built a digital dollar — always equal to $1 US — that works over your phone, connects to Mobile Money, and is approved and supervised by the Ghana Securities and Exchange Commission. We are not trying to replace the banking system. We are trying to make it work better for everyone in it.

The Problem We Are Solving

Three things that should not be this hard

4–7%

Lost on every transfer

The average Ghanaian family loses 4–7% every time money is sent from abroad. On $200, that is up to $14 gone in fees before it even reaches you. HSB charges nothing.

~30%

Cedi lost in value in 2023

Local currency can lose value fast. Many Ghanaians want to hold some savings in dollars — but most have no easy way to do it. HSB makes it as simple as using Mobile Money.

Days

To receive a payment

Payments sent across borders can take 2–5 days through traditional banks. With HSB, your money arrives in seconds — any time of day, any day of the week.

The Team

The people behind HSB

Leads the company and its relationship with the Ghana SEC. Responsible for getting HSB from the approved sandbox phase to full launch — and making sure every step is done properly.

Builds and oversees the HSB platform — the digital wallets, the payment systems, and the underlying technology that keeps everything secure and accurate.

Makes sure the platform does what users actually need. Connects HSB's engineering team with the Ghanaian market to ensure the product is built for real life, not just on paper.

Builds the partnerships — with merchants, exchanges, and financial institutions — that make HSB available and useful across Ghana and West Africa.

Keeps the whole programme running. Responsible for making sure the right things are built in the right order, the team is working well together, and HSB delivers on its commitments to the Ghana SEC — on time.

We are growing. As HSB expands, we are looking for people in compliance, legal, engineering, and customer support who care about building something that works for Ghana. Join the waitlist to hear about opportunities as they open up.

Where We Are Now

We are building — step by step

Right now — 2026

Running under Ghana SEC supervision

HSB is approved and running inside the Ghana SEC's testing programme — a supervised environment for new financial products. We are testing the platform with a small group of real users, proving it works safely and reliably before opening it to everyone. Licence: SEC/GUI/001/03/2026.

2027 — Next

Full launch in Ghana

Once we pass all of the Ghana SEC's tests, we receive a full operating licence and open HSB to all Ghanaians. That is when the waitlist gets called — you will be among the very first.

2028 and beyond

Expanding across West Africa

Our plan is to take HSB beyond Ghana — to Nigeria, Côte d'Ivoire, and the rest of West Africa. One reliable digital dollar, working for the whole region.
